Training routes vary by employer and location. These are the main steps to investigate before you enrol.

NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing
The standard route. 12–18 months of combined theory and clinical placement. Can study while working as a trainee dental nurse.

GDC Registration
Register with the General Dental Council upon qualifying. Required to practise legally in the UK.
- 03
CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
Ongoing learning to maintain registration. Includes radiography, impression taking and oral health education certificates.
